    Default BeeHive Inspection Form

I've decided to create a new printable PDF form for hive inspections out in the yard. It also allows you to enter data directly into the PDF and then save the file so you can keep neatly typed records on your computer. No form is going to meet everyones needs, but this works for me, but I'm always open to suggestions. You can download it here: http://www.beespace.ca/beehive-inspection-form/ and you will need the free Adobe Reader to print and enter data. Cheers

Thanks for posting. I like the form simplicity.

    Nice

Might laminate it and use a sharpie or grease pencil, keep it under the lid

    Thanks for sharing.

Happy to share. I've also thought about using one form to do 4 inspections. Typically, I group my hives in 4's but nothing says you can't record one hive 4 times on one form.

I've updated a few things based on suggestions from BZB47. I've created some extra numbered forms (1-4, 5-8 and 9-12) and linked to a free online tool that can merge PDF files so you can keep all inspections in one file. This way you can merge as many sheets into one file as you need.

    Forms: http://www.beespace.ca/beehive-inspection-form/

    Merge Tool: https://www.sodapdf.com/merge-pdf/

There are other free merge tools online, but I've tested Soda PDF and it maintains the ability to enter data directly onto the form, even after combining sheets.

I like yours. We use one that is laminated then we put it in a sheet protector and staple to top of migratory cover. It hold 3 inspections with the sheet protector folded. Move it over and get 3 more. Then turn it over in the sheet protector and get 6 more inspections. We are writing on the sheet protector only and save the laminated portion and use it over and over. One thing we added was a place for the beekeeper on each inspection sheet because a different employee may check the hive each time. We are mainly looking at strength, eggs, stores and any brood problems we might see and we are on to the next inspection. We have a spot for treatments and mite counts. Splits are noted as well as swarming. Laminating for hundreds of hives got expensive so the sheet protectors are a nice way of doing it. 12 inspections is 24 weeks on a sheet protector.
