Default Recommend any package bee sellers?

Hi, I'm from the very northeast corner of Arkansas. Does anyone know if there is someone who sells bees in that area or recommend somewhere that ships packages? I ordered two packages in January and one arrived dead. So, was hoping to find another if it is not too late in the year, since many people recommended starting out with two.

Do you have tractor supply in your area?
I believe they still have packages for sale.

Did you contact the seller to inform them the package was dead on arrival? Should have been an automatic replace or refund.

He said "Should have". Unfortunately we all know how such stipulations work out in reality...

Check the seller's website for their policy. I have seen several that only guarantee the bees to be alive and healthy when they leave the apiary. The sellers have no control over what happens during shipping. I would certainly contact them and ask for a replacement but I would not necessarily expect one.

Did you have them shipped next day?
Thankfully, the bees are smarter than I am. They are doing well, in spite of my efforts to help them.

They were insured with the post office and don't give replacements. I got a refund from usps, but wanted to do more research and maybe go with another seller this time. Hopefully somewhere closer, cause I figured travel time has something to do with likelyhood of arriving alive.

Just got 6 packages from Barnyard Bee's Friday. Very few dead bee's. Queens look good. They have excellent customer service and their bees are suppose to be pretty gentle (small cell ). I don't think I got stung more than 20 times installing them. I'm giving them a break for now on that after being taken from their home and jostled around for 2 days.
