Default melying 55 gal. cappings drum

Anybody as try to melt a 55 gal. drum of cappings or wax scrapping with the briskheat band drum heater that can be found on ebay?

I see a few posts about honey liquefying but nothing about wax

You would bee better off to buy a powerblanket. Better heat distribution and does not burn or overheat your honey.

well powerblanket cost three times more than the band, also I have almost 10 drums of wax with no good honey to recover. My question was more on the heat capacity of those band and the durability.
