Default Where to get wood for boxes in New England

I had an extra sheet of finished plywood ($30) and was able to make 5 deeps and a medium out of it. I want to build more boxes out of pine board because people say its the best and cheapest material. However making them out of pine boards from home improvement stores is about 3x as expensive. Does anyone know where to get lumber for boxes?

    Welcome to Beesource.

I can get Advantech 22/32 sheets for $30.98 a sheet today. This comes from Home despot and lowest box stores... I am paying $0.95 a foot for 1x12x16 at my local mom n pop hardware. Very close in price when ya figure cuts and yields. I have to cut my own timber and pay for sawying and then allow to dry to get cheaper.

I get my pine from Ashland Lumber / Bellettes. Was much better priced than the big box stores.

You have lots of mills in NH. Why not buy there. You can usually get shorts for a big saving over lumber stores. I used to buy from HG Wood in Woodsville. Must be someone nearer you.
