Just got my provap 110 and love it. Went through 20 hives in record time.

Someday I will be able to justify it. Working my way up in Hive numbers. only at 13 now. it takes a while to treat them all. Where do you get your power from? Would an inverter on a deep cycle battery be enough?

dumb question sorry but is an inverter the same as a generator inverter?
I have an oxavap coming for xmas from my wife but im not sure how to use it. I have used the varrox wand running off my lawntractor battery for the last few years.
You wont need an inverter if using a generator
An inverter is NOT the same as a generator. You connect the inverter (see below as to where to get ... HF) to your either car battery or lawnmower tractor battery. Then you plug in an extension cord (if needed) to the inverter. Then you either plug the ProVap into the extension cord (or if the EC is not needed) directly into the inverter. The inverter changes DC into AC (which is what powers the ProVap.)
If you're using a generator, disregard the above and plug the ProVap directly to the generator.

I use a Ryobi inverter generator to power my 110, I love it!!!
Inverter generators are not the same as an inverter. The inverter refereed to is something that hooks up to a 12v source and inverts the DC power to AC power (110). An inverter generator is a generator that works on similar principles. Check this for a little more info: http://yamahaef2000is.com/convention...generator.html
inverter generators are super quite and work great, they are priced accordingly...

Has anyone found that your getting better results from the provap 110 when treating through the top rather than the bottom .Or do the directions mention which way to treat .
You can read the instructions for the ProVap 110 at the link below. Here is part of them ....
This vaporizer is most easily used from the back of the hive, where a small (¼”) hole is drilled in the back center of the ¾” rim of the bottom board that supports the bottom brood box. This hole is needed to accommodate th////e vaporizer stem. You want the vapors to rise up through the frames throughout the hive. Using a hole in the back of the hive and at this place (we believe) is easiest as it eliminates the nuisance of flying bees.
