    North Main

I like husker's idea only cut out a section of drone brood and put it in a clear glass jar so she can watch them hatch.

I am pushing my luck I know but it will be the 1st of October before this new nuc should have any new brood in it.
So far the weather looks good as long as the drones stay around.

I havn't seen clouds of drones hanging arround the entrance yet but I did see one hive draging out drone larve... ....Time is short here....but yes, 2 or 3 more weeks of drones would make me happy I made 10 splits a week ago...

Very interesting....We're quite a bit south of you (still zone 3) and drones are pretty much done around here. Maybe a 'Lake' (Superior) Effect?

    Good luck with those splits!

Our fall flow just really started a coupe of weeks ago and they all started raising a lot of drones again.

Several hives still raising drones where I am.... Most are throwing them out.... Most of my hives are carni and the biggest hive raising drones is Italian... Am not sure if that's a thing but would be interesting to watch and see if it's a bigger trend....
