    Default Bulk sugar.

Hey all, my old source of bulk sugar is gone and I am in need of a new supplier of bulk/seconds sugar. Any suggestions or contacts would be appreciated.

Our association has been getting it from the lower part of the state for $0.40/lb after shipping cost.

Wal-Mart here has 25lb bags for 8.68. The cheapest I have ever seen it.

In the Charlotte NC area, see post #9 of this thread:

That message refers to buying HFCS, but that company distributes a variety of different sweeteners.

wow, .35cent/pound I'd be buying again after this weekend's cocstco trip, our wal mart is 13.68 atm
I'd stock up big on summer/fall feed now at that price

I called for a month all over the SE looking for bulk sugar. There was one place in GA selling barge/floor sweepings for .35 cents per pound. That's ridiculous.

I found 25# bags on the coast at Walmart for $8.68 We loaded up on our last trip. That's 35 cents per pound but I don't have to deal with contaminates in the sugar and it's bagged. The same bag of sugar at home is $13.98. Doesn't make any sense to me, other than maybe freight.

Aldi can almost match that pricing last I checked, but that was in November.

In December, Kroger was selling 4# bags for .99. This makes it .2475 per pound. Check store flyers regularly and you will eventually come across a good deal. A good deal to me is .25 per pound. If it is over that much, I keep looking, under that, I buy all that I can get and keep it stored in airtight containers.
