Default Time of day to treat with oav

initially I had thought that oav had no residual kill on mites but with further reading I learned it keeps working for three days. With that being said I have always treated my hives at night when all bees were in the hive. Is that really necessary? It would be so much better to treat earlier in the day as it doesnt get dark til 9 around here and by the time I get done treating all my hives its close to 11 and I have to be up by 530.

I start when it's convenient, finish when it's done and don't worry about the foragers

I do it early, when everyone is home, but I'm a morning person and have only 4 colonies.
5 Production colonies, 1 side by side 5 frame nuc for support- 7 working queens is all I want.

That's true UNLESS you have a booming hive and the bees carry it out fast.
Morning or evening is best.... but just do it......
