Question In hive or out of hive feeding

I've heard before that bees will collect syrup that is feed out of hive faster. The given reason was because the bees see that syrup fed in the hive is already theirs, they can use it at their leisure, so are less inclined to put it in cells, opposed to out of hive feed where they need to move fast so that they can get it all. Is this true at all? Has anyone tested it?

Feding outside promotes robbing and you are feeding all your neighbors bees in addition to your own. If you are trying to get your bees to expand, draw comb and store feed. Feed internally with a feeding attractant like honey bee healthy or a few drops of lemon grass oil emulsified into the feed.

Just a beginner here. I fed with an entrance feeder to start for a week and then switched to top feeding over the inner cover and in an empty covered box. They have taken the syrup twice as fast inside.

I've put as many as four frame feeders on a single hive and had them empty them in a day.
