I have a warre that has 3 boxes on it. I opened it up last fall to find that the bees had brood in half of each of two top boxes and honey in the other halves. Lowest box is almost half full with comb. Dandelions are just starting. I can't lift the hive to get two more under there. Should I try to nadir just one and super one box? I am able to slide the whole thing over, but seriously doubt I can lift that on top of one or two more boxes. Any suggestions? Thank you!!
Afterthought: Should I have taken the top box in the fall and fed over the winter to avoid this situation in future springs?
