Default where to buy nucs in the SC/NC/GA area?

Looking to buy 2 nucs this year so I can get back into beekeeping. I've found 2 possibles, one is a CL posting, but I'm unsure of this route. The other is from BeeWell Honey here in pickens. Other sources would be appreciated.

Right now the sources I have, I have some reservations. The CL source, the bees arn't from him, he's reselling nucs and doesnt have them yet. He says they are from GA and are overwintered nucs from splits made in september. I am really leaning this way because of it. I can also pick up on the weekend. Hes willing to give references of people who have bought them, so he's confident in the product. Also supposedly TF. Available around the first of april. They are also Italian hygenics.

Bewell, Same price, available about the first to second week in april, but they dont have a pickup date set either. Dunno about TF but I would guess not.

Both are about the same distance away.

    Any other suggestions?

If the Nucs were made in September 16 they should be ready by April 1 2017 not August?
I can start them in May and have them by August.

The only ones that I know of in GA that are not trucked north have all been sold. I paid a deposit in Early Nov for Feb delivery.

Perhaps I'm missing something here, but the CL ad speaks of "a $150 deposit", but I don't see a final price anywhere. It would be a real bummer to think that the $150 is the nuc price, then find out in April that the final price is XXX amount more!

... it sure looks to me that you mail off $150 now, to an address posted in a CL ad, to person that you haven't met, and 4-5 months later hopefully pick up the merchandise. This seems to be a kind of transaction that even Craiglist warns specifically is problematic.

Jarret bees are in Baldwin Ga (I think), had good experience with Queens. I am sure they have nucs, or that is what the email said as of the 1st of December.
