Default First Car and New License Plates

At the ripe young age of 17, I bought my first car - a 1994 Toyota Tercel, with a 4-speed manual transmission. I bought it with roughly a 180,000 miles on it and it does have quite a bit of character (dents and dings), but none the less it gets me around. None of that is important, especially on a bee forum. It's not the car I want to show - it's the license plates. I got these plates in the DMV for $25 a year, and to be quite honest, they're worth it. Enjoy.

I like the plates, and the car. Congratulations on both.

Nice. Don't rest your foot on the clutch pedal when you aren't shifting and the clutch will last nearly forever. Simple car, easy to fix and lots of parts available. Love the plate.

memories...my first car over 40yrs ago when I was 15 was a garaged 65 Impala less than 9000miles,I bought it for $200 from a old 90yr polish lady named Jinny Suda. She was the nicest person I've ever known in my life. Always made us neighbourhood kids treats. candy, cookies, crispie treats, cakes, doughnuts.
She would be sitting outside in her yard every few mornings drinking coffee as we went to school, she would have a dish of goodies. No matter who it was, good or bad you received Love from this Lady. She was an Angel, she loved Life.
Thanks for the memories, I haven't thought about her since her son died 30yrs back.

Have Fun, and enjoy your new freedom.

My, if this thread were to swerve into a "my first car" thread, I would end up rememberimg that dark blue 65 Ford station wagon. No pictures. Congrats on the wheels and plates.
