We (as in I helped) made two pies, and we used the thin honey from uncapped frames that I spun out first, the pies set just fineIt was quick and easy to make.
Best pecan pie I ever had! The subtle honey flavor goes well with pecans.
For one pie;
1 cup honey
3 beaten eggs
3 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. real vanilla
1 cup pecan halves
1 pinch of nutmeg
1 pie crust
Boil the honey, stir until it comes to a boil.
Mix in beaten eggs. Then add other ingredients and stir.
Pour into pie crust.
Bake at 325 degree for 30-40 minutes.
