    Default HELP! What is this???

I opened the hive up to inspect, moving the medium foundationless off to the side. They were building nice white comb.

I had much resistance picking up the medium. Now I see THIS on the top bars? Are these queen larvae from queen cells attached to the bottom of the medium that ripped open? These larvae look more like grubs!

Also, my hive was extremely docile today, and that's not usually the case. Seems that they're honey bound too, but I didn't check all frames.

could be ripped open queen cells or ripped open drone brood. you need to look at the bottom of the frame(s) from the medium to figure up whch. I have seen both kinds of brood (drone and QC) attached at the bottom of a frame and stuck to the frame below.

my growing experience suggests that a colony that suddenly seems super docile is about to swarm, so I go looking for QCs when I observe that bees are just standing around when I pop the top. lots of QCs on the bottoms of frames is generally the finding.

If you don't have any space for them to build drone comb they seem to have build some bridge comb between the frames for drones. I don't think queen cells would all be attached between the boxes like that. Maybe you have excessive space between upper and lower frames.
