Default Moving a swarm trap a short distance?

I got tired of sifting thru threads so I'll just ask. Suppose I get a swarm settled in a hive box a couple hundred yards across an open pasture. At what time frame and procedure for moving the hive to where it needs to be?

You wait till they are settled ( bringing pollen in etc...) then after dark screen the hole take them where you want them and the next morning open them up and hive them. The confinement and disturbance will trigger reorientation and you get it all over with in one move. Have your equipment ready beforehand and be careful not to let them get overheated before hiving that morning.

Cool thanks. My swarm traps are doubled up 8 mediums with frames in the top body. Be as simple as separating the bodies and setting the top on a bottom board depending on swarm size. Sounds to easy

    That is a great system.
