Default My first swarm recovery....newbee question

So I came home today to find a swarm in a bush in my front yard. I've cut the branch and placed it along with all the bees into a hive. Should I shake them and remove the branch or leave the branch and bees and let them "migrate" over to the drawn frame?

I've only retrieved the one swarm so far. But I just laid the limb in the brood box with a couple frames on each side. Opened up a couple days later to remove the limb and added rest of frames. Maybe I'm just lucky, but they settled right in and went to work.
