    Default Mobile Phone Holders

I'm having a hard time finding just the right device for holding my cell phone while driving. My F350 dash is not designed for easy holder installations. The surface is quite textured, and the windshield is quite far from reach. I'd like it to be at dashboard height as I use my phone for navigation as well, sometimes. I did come across the Arkon device but it still doesn't get the phone high enough.

What do some of you guys use that drive the Ford super duty trucks?
    Regards, Barry

Did you see that there is also an Arkon model with a longer gooseneck?

    I bought this:

But then I drilled a hole in the middle of the suction and screwed to my dash...

This works well for the wife's GPS:

It stays right in place, even with her erratic driving.

I've only used the suction cup style and they almost always fail. This past weekend I was talking to a friend who uses the kind you slip into the air vent. He claimed they work great, but I have no personal experience. Something like:

Or this one with 4.5 stars on nearly 4500 reviews:

I tried the magnetic ones that go into the vents and they work great! I have some now for every vehicle. They are the magnetic type that goes on the vent and then a thin steel plate goes into the back of your phone case. You just place it up there and it sticks, nothing precise about it and works every-time. Unlike the bracket style that never seem to fit right. See the link as an example of one I personally like.

IMG_6296.jpg I use the 'BELKIN' it fits into the vent louvers, I can move it from my truck to my car, it is spring loaded to hold the phone. I love it. IMG_6295.jpg
