Swarm call 7:45 last night 6/27 got the swarm this morning 6/28 about 8 am cloudy and started to rain about 2 minutes after I finally got them boxed and loaded up. . .
Prague, OK 74864
Nice big (I think)swarm! They came from a tree about 10 yards from where they swarmed at. Still several in/out of the tree so hopefully we'll get another swarm from them next year (nice cause it's in my in-laws yard) this is the 3rd year they've had a swarm there but this is the first year we've been bee farming. . .
Here's a Linkto the pics if interested.
4-18-2008 - Called at 4:40 got them and on the way home by 6:10 (and I live 45 min away)
Prague, OK 74864 in the city park next to the new playground equipment, what a place to be.
Sunny mid 60s and windy
Bigger than a basketball
Hot! My camera helper was about 5 ft away and ended up with about 5-10 stings and my bucket holder (wearing a head net but not cinched up) ended up with about 5 stings on his face. Thankfully I was covered from head to toe and only had the buzz around my netting.
Town of Depew, OK 74028 on the bottom of the town utility trailer, swarmed from an abandoned building about 5 ft away, town manager said the hives been there for 10+ years and they get 1 or 2 swarms from it a year.

Swarmed from a hollow tree we get a swarm from every year
Picked up my first swarm call on May 2. Unfortunately the bucket I was transporting them in the back of my truck was not ventilated sufficiently and many bees succumbed due to heat stress, I assume. The remainder swarmed on me the next day. I captured them again and moved them three miles to an empty hive on my dads place. They swarmed again the next day with no hope of recovery.
Picked up my second swarm on May 15 ( see my post under strange swarm behavior). They attempted to swarm on me on the 19th, but since the queen was unable to abscond due to the queen excluder blocking the top entrance, they only balled up on a limb for about 30 minutes and an orbit around the yard before returning to the hive.
I'm getting calls almost daily about bees in barns, behind siding, in attics etc. I don't really have time to do these removals as I have a more than full time job.
Between two wooden fences, several races of bees?, and several clusters. Barely fit into a deep with seven frames, due to room. Also took a lot of stings for a swarm/swarms? Already ready for another deep? I need a beevac!!!
Tulsa ok 74145 Warm, but was starting to get cold.
I have a hive at my friends house and got a call around 1pm today that the bees were in the air. When I got there (2 miles away), the flying bees were gone, but the front of the hive was covered. 80 degrees out side, full sun and no wind. Have no clue to where they went. A lot of trees near where he lives, so they had plenty of places to hide.
Picked up a swarm at the Mason's Lodge yesterday afternoon. Probably 2lbs of bees. Mustang, OK 73064
Someone at the Lodge said they had been there since at least Thursday afternoon. We received 3/4" of rain on Thursday night. They told one of the guys at the firestation about them and he relayed the info to me.
