    2 swarm calls today.
#1 Ozark Mo. they took off just as my son got there and he followed them to a large tree with a 2" x 20" crack. I am going there tomorrow with a frame of brood.

First swarm call of the season. Didn't make it in time as the swarm was gone before I could get there. Came out of an oak tree in a backyard about 10 feet up.
A friend's hive swarmed Monday April 11 in Ballwin (he recovered them)
I got a basketball sized swarm yesterday April 14 in Ballwin

Just picked up a swarm that was on a bush in someones front yard. They said it had arrived roughly 2 days ago (4/13/16). Belton, MO 64012 (Kansas City area)

Lawrence County April 16. Largest swarm I've ever seen. I should have taken pics.

Ozark Mo. April 17 Swarm on the side of a tree. Did not see the Queen so I grabbed a couple of handfuls and dropped them in and they started fanning. I held the the nuc against the tree and they started marching in. Picked them up 3 hrs later and brought them home (they covered all 5 frames in the nuc) and moved them into a 10 frame box.

Picked-up a nice size swarm this morning, been in the tree since last night. Didn't fit in my 5 frame deep so had to move them into 8 frame medium.

It's just that time of the year, plus that area has lots of older trees which make great homes for the bees. If you get tired of catching them let me know I can take maybe two more. :-)

4/27/16 Another swarm call in Hannibal today. About 3 lbs around 4pm just after thunderstorms passed. I haven't gotten my swarm traps up yet, need to quick! I bought some Swarm Commander, gonna see if it's as magical as some say...

Final got some takers to my trap at my house, small swarm but did find the queen, added a comb of stores and a frame for them to build on. Gonna let them get comfy for a few days then take them to my out yard. O'Fallon MO. 63366 (4/27/16)
