One of my hives swarmed (a relatively small swarm) sometime after Saturday (April 19) and they went into one of my lure boxes around 2:00 PM Tuesday April 22. They scouted 2 lure boxes Monday (Sunday ? ?) and until they adopted the lure box Tuesday afternoon.
It rained a puddle full Monday night. Temps in the AM in the low 60sF to low 70sF. At 2:00PM Tuesady the wind was calm and around 80F.

FINALLY, lol

Got a call from one of my employees about a swarm they were made aware of in a tree.

I made a physical inspection and went and captures them early am this morning 6/6/14:}

Have them in my Top Bar hive, now simply drinking a Cold Rootbeer and keeping my fingers crossed oh and posting here:]

Well, well, now one of my own hives swarmed 10:38am 6/14/14, clear sunshine day 87 degrees approx.

They are in a tree approx 40' high, I placed a large Top Bar Swarm Trap almost directly under where they are in the tree in hopes of luring them back to the hotel atmosphere they left from lol

OK now what to do with the hive they left from?

Being new and not knowing what do to is disheartening:{

Baton Rouge Louisiana 3/18/2015 . Had a call from a plant safety mgr. last night . Basketball sized swarm in plant on some scaffolding . Hived them this morning around daylight . Didn't ask if could take pics in plant

What is needed:

• zip code, city or county
• date when the bees swarmed or when you found the swarm.
• comments - example: if the swarm came from your hive, or if you were called to pick up a swarm, how long was it there. This is not for cutouts unless the bees just took up residence and are not established. It would also be great to include a small photo of the swarm.

Caught our first swarm March 2nd. Have captured 5 more since then. I'm in deep south louisiana on the coast here. First came from a hive in building wall. Others from buildings and junk laying around .

April 19th 2016 in St Charles Parish, about the size of a cantaloupe, origin unknown. Boxed up inside of a couple hours and hived the next morning, doing well so far

Got first swarm this year, nice 4 or 5 pound ball. Feb 27th 2017. They settled in nicely in there new home. Sweet calm swarm. Galliano, lafourche parish here on the coast

Got my first swarm of the year on March 1st. It was a rather large swarm with would i would estimate 8 - 10 pounds of bees. Calm bees from what i can tell so far. Location, Bourg Terrebonne parish
