5/17 - Lebo 66856. Captured large swarm that came from a hive in a house. 5/18 - Had a small swarm move into one of my traps at home.

Swarm high in a tree about 30' from our hives. Too high to retrieve. They stayed for 2 days then left.

They clustered about 25' away from our hives in the Rose of Sharon bushes. Successfully hived them immediately.

All these were swarms within about 25' of our existing hives. Successfully hived them all.

Swarm in our bee yard, too high up in a tree to reach. They didn't stay long, maybe a couple hours. Later, upon examining a hive, it had a SHB infestation, so I suspect this swarm abandoned that hive body.

Hived a swarm at my bee yard and had a swarm in a trap the same day, May 4th.

Watched a swarm move into a trap this morning, May 10, at 11 am. Trap is a 6-frame homemade box on my front balcony, north side of the building, about 30' in the air. Lawrence, Kansas. Douglas County.

Found a small swarm in a trap yesterday, June 20. There was not much comb drawn but some capped brood. Seems to have been a slow year for swarms. Lawrence, Kansas.
