Got a call from Middletown DE about a football-sized swarm in a shrub. Cut the branch and it fell into my cardboard nuc. It was so easy. 19709

Wednesday, May 11 my neighbors said they noticed a swarm. I was out of town and they said it moved from one tree of theirs to a second tree on Thursday. Friday, we got home and my other neighbor said she saw the swarm in a third tree, but no one saw it after that.

Sunday, May 15, neighbors called and said they had sighted the swarm. Temp 62, cloudy light east wind. Caught the swarm and they now have a nice home with me. :-)

    What is needed:

    • zip code, city or county
    • date when the bees swarmed or when you found the swarm.
    • comments - example: if the swarm came from your hive, or if you were called to pick up a swarm, how long was it there. This is not for cutouts unless the bees just took up residence and are not established. It would also be great to include a small photo of the swarm.

This forum is not for general discussion.
    Regards, Barry
