Captured two separate swarms in one fir tree this morning. One was 2lbs the second was 3lbs.
They were 3 ft and 4ft off the ground within two feet of eachother and had been there for at least 16 hrs. They came from a neighbors top bar hive. The neighbor was happy to have us get them.
Cloudy and a bit of rain moments after the capture.
A co-worker IM'd me at work and told me a friend of hers was looking for someone to "get a bunch of bees out of her yard". I don't have a place to put another hive, so gave my co-worker the Colorado Beekeepers Swarm Hotline website URL and advised her to tell her friend NOT to spray the bees. Haven't heard yet whether the swarm has been rehomed.
Hi, not sure if this is the right place to post, but I'm in Denver and am looking to sell a Maxant 3100P (and the leg kit) bought in 2017 and used for one honey harvest. I paid $850 and am asking $650 cash. Thanks!
My sister called me from her workplace in Broomfield (I believe it is) to tell me about a swarm in a tree by the community swimming pool. I had JUST split my bees into my only available box, so gave her the Colo State Beekeepers Assn hotline number.
