Third swarm in the same tree believed to be from the same hive across the street. The original hive looks like it's getting ready to swarm again. This is nuts!

spoke too soon in the other thread earlier today. it's small swarm that came from a hive in which i've been hearing multiple virgins piping for a few days. this is the second swarm that i know of from my hives so far this year. got a trap waiting..... but if they head for the woods i'm really ok with allowing a colony back from whence they came from time to time.

I got a call about a swarm. When I showed up it was making a home inside an 8x8 column about ~15' up. ~4lb swarm. It was in the heart of the Huntsville Industrial district off of research.

Got the swarm call about 7:30 PM
They were clustered on a mailbox.
Quart jar sized swarm of the smallest body sized bees I've laid eyes on.
Latest swarm call so far by more than six to eight weeks.
Complete dearth conditions here for at least the past month. Six weeks away from whatever fall flow we might have. We are in severe drought conditions.

Caught our first swarm of 2017. Lee County, Alabama.

Filled up a 5 frame nuc at site with them, took home and treated for mites. Put second 5 frames on top due to size of swarm.

Just had my first swarm - Ozark, AL -36360, Dale County - March 22, 2017 Sunny, 80, and from one of my hives. Pitched in oak tree about 25 feet right above hive, size - about as large as two footballs. Poor beekeeping on my part. Have two baited swarm traps about 100 yards away, might get lucky.

Called my mentor to ask what else I could do and he said he has had 3 hives swarm since Monday. He is about 15 miles north of me in Henry County, AL.

Swarm, March 23, 2017, Vestavia Hill, Jefferson County. Size unknown.
Never saw them as a swarm. They just took up residence in a swarm trap I had placed on my deck that I was planning to place in a tree this weekend.

First swarm call of the year. Unfortunately I had to pass it to a friend because I was out of town on travel.

4/5/17 Found Swarm in Trap that was set out on 3/19/17. I am guessing they have been there a while. Comb built out on every frame.
