    Default Washing machine extractor?

My washer went out on me and decided to buy a new one. I have a new motor and trans. For the one that died. And have been thinking, extractor.

Has anybody ever tried one? The only thing that I could think bad is, the soap that might be in the plastic. Which also got me thinking, what if it was new? Could possibly be like a 9 deep radial for around 400.00?

Doubt any of it is food grade plastic. Which you may not care about as exposure is not for long I assume. But just remember those chemicals that leach out of non food grade plastic mess with your hormones and turn men into women.

Does anyone have an update on whether or not a new/clean $400 washing machine would make a decent extractor?

Its a slightly better idea than Ace's ceiling fan (motor in the bottom of the "tub") extractor. It even has its own built in honey sump

I guess you would just run it through a wash cycle with warm water and it will clean itself.

There's a few if you search google. At one time I was pondering making one, was leaning towards a barrel extractor, looked the simplest with the least amount of parts. Food grade barrels are easy to come by both plastic or metal.

Lots of used ones out there.

Ended up get one on a Black Friday deal.
