    bees working on the 12 Mar. They were also bringing in a bright yellow pollen but I couldn't find the source. cdowdy

    Winter Honeysuckle: Bees working pollen & nectar hard Note: this is Winter Honeysuckle (a bush) not honeysuckle that grows on a vine that honey bees cannot get nectar.

    Elm: Blooming but didn't see any bees working it.

    Daffadoils: Now are in fulll bloom and will be blooming for 3 or 4 weeks.

    Dandelion: Havent seen bees working it. Other things must be better.

    Heavy foraging for pollen by all hives. Pollen colors: Red, light yellow, yellow, orange.

    Hundreds of these smaller type of bees working the bloom hard.



    The few honey bees that have started to work the bloom are almost black.

    There is also a small bee that looks like a small bumble bee.

    The fragrance of the bloom is almost intoxicating.

    I can see why they are drawn to it.

    All of the below are still in full bloom and bees are not working them. When I say full bloom I mean that they are blooming profusely everywhere.
