I wish this thread were more complete and had entries more recent than 2012. (Oppps, didn't see the more recent postings) Also, it would be nice to have the participant list his area, Upstate, Midlands, Coastal, as there are big differences between the three. I do not understand why there are entries about Arizona, Mexico, and New Mexico.

It is mid-February in the upstate and Red maple has been in bloom more than a week, probably nearing it's end. Daffodils are in bloom.

Does anyone know the general start of Tulip Poplar? I suspect that these huge trees with the large flowers is the major spring Flow.

I created this bloom calendar for the Oconee Beekeepers Association. It includes dates that I observed the start of the blooms for the area around Westminster. We're at 1000 ft, so it'll be earlier for the lower elevations.

The major flows for the upstate are blackberries and tulip poplar, both of which started blooming in early April last year. This year it looks like it may be earlier though.

It may be how you're navigating to the threads but they're separated by state - so entries can indeed be filtered by that. Also, most posts I see have area and or zipcode.

Super helpful! While I've heard most all of those bloom names and seen all of them I didn't know what was what. Thanks a ton for taking the time to build this reference.
