First daffodil of the year today (2.4) in a sheltered location- looks like the non-sheltered growth will be blooming over the next couple of weeks, putting it a couple weeks ahead of where we were last year.

Elm and maple buds are swelling significantly.

Non-sheltered daffodils began blooming today. This is the exact same date they bloomed last year.

If everything holds, this means forsythia will bloom in approximately 10 days.

Elm and maple are imminent and redbud is starting to swell.

    Near Paducah- Climate Zone 7a:

Both Red and Silver Maples are finally in full bloom after a stretch of unseasonably cool and wet weather. The forsythia slowed down too and have just begun to bloom, putting them almost two weeks later than last year. Next up around here will be dandilion, Bradford Pear and Japanese Magnolia....and can't forget redbud!
