I had to research to see what you were talking about. WOW, I had no idea. I hope I'm wrong, and what I see blooming is not Buckeye. We have plenty of other sources right now, so maybe they will ignore it. I haven't had a problem with my hives yet.

Was a mild winter, good late rains, warm spring.

The almonds have already started in some areas this week. By next week, most in our area will begin the almond bloom.

I am seeing the wild white and yellow flowers blooming everywhere for some weeks now. Red gum eucalyptus trees have been blooming since Oct. but now are going near 100% full out. Our blue gum eucalyptus trees started small blooming in Dec. but is not picking up. I think it will hit 100% by late Feb. or early March.

Not one tree in our orchard is blooming yet, but apricots and peaches are getting ready with the buds.

Our fava beans began blooming three weeks ago on a very small basis [less than 1%]. By March should be up to 100%.

No flowers on clover at all yet...not white, not yellow, not crimson.

No flowers on alfalfa yet either...

Waiting for the monster bloom to hit some time in March?

We are hoping our blue gum eucs will wait until after we bring our bees back from the almonds...
