    Privet

Just saw the first buds opening today. I could smell it but it took me a while to find the one blooming. We have hundreds of acres of privet within flying distance of my hives.

must be the earlier variety, it's about a month early for seeing it all over the place.

SP, I don't think I've even seen a goldenrod growing here. I do believe you but just in case you might want to get your eyes checked. I've got a cousin that's a good optometrist.

Yeah, I could feel the chill in the air today. Right before the thermometer hit 98 degrees.

Well, squarepeg your eyes are just fine. We have some Goldenrod blooming here now. I saw some Saturday scattered around the edges of some fields. Both in southeast Marshall and on my deer lease in southeast Blount county.

Our highs towards the end of this week are supposed to be mid 80s, woohoo except the humidity will probably be 162% with a 99 degree heat index. Winter is coming

the blooms are very small and likely not producing due to lack of rainfall. i'm seeing very little foraging lately except for water and juice from pears that have fallen off the trees.

Goldenrod behind my house just started blooming out today. All petal clusters were closed yesterday.

Saw some other goldenrod around in my community that may be bloomed out a little more than this.

I looked for the most mature plants within the bed to photograph.

Elm tree in full bloom today and all you can hear is bees buzzing all over it.
Due to prolonged warm weather we have an apple tree in full bloom, bees enjoying the early treat!

we've had a week of the first good flying weather of the year and i'm seeing increasing amounts of pale yellow pollen coming into all of the hives. likely sources are maple and elm.

I am south of squarepeg and Cadence, about 25 miles from the FL line. I have been seeing the pale yellow pollen coming in almost every day since the beginning of the year. We got up to 80 last week and looks like we might get there again between rain showers this weekend. I have been assuming it is maple, but likely elm too. I have even seen some broad leaves of dandelion coming up in the yards.

Had 4 different colors of pollen being brought to the hives today. Incredible amounts of foraging flights. I could hear my hives from 30 feet away. It was above 70 degrees for the high. Cold again tomorrow
