i've been seeing red pollen coming in for a week or two but it just started in my yard yesterday. also seeing pale yellow tree pollen for a week or two but not sure which tree it is from. we see an occasional dandelion all through the winter here when there are periods of relative warm up.

Your dogwoods are ahead of the ones down here. They are just starting to open here, none in what I would call full bloom. Pears (fruit) are in full bloom. Yoshino cherries are in full bloom here too and those are a huge pollen source.

White vetch and white clover. Not sure of the variety of either one. I don't think the white clover is Dutch White, I think it's more of a "wild" Ladino. The flower stems are 6"-8" tall.

    autumn olives starting to bloom

these make a very good hedge and the berries are an excellent source of nutrition for the wildlife. when they are in bloom they become the preferred nectar source for the bees. they are supposed to be invasive but we have not found that to be the case here.

they are the primary reason i have bees now. their blooms fill the neighborhood with a fragrance that i describe as 'honeysuckle on steroids'. it was that lovely aroma that inspired my wife to invite a beekeeper to bring some hives to the property. the rest is history as the old saying goes.
