It's like star wars. Darth. (I think.. but what do I know, I speak Ebonics, american English slang, and some form of alien when I'm angry)
I pronounce stuff wrong so I invent another name in those situations. For instance propolis is pronounced "bee glue".

I don't care if some internet pronunciation site says it's durth in an Aussie accent.
    Internet credibility is an oxymoron

Well, I looked it up and thought it would be easy, however, the pronunciation key spells it with a schwa (the upside down "e" thing) Which could go either way. Perhaps it's a geographical dialect or accent thing. Either way, I don't think anyone will correct you for either dearth or darth. I personally will stick with "darth" perhaps a jersey thing.

Harley Craig; According to an article in an 1907 or 08 issue of Gleanings in Bee Culture, you are correct. It should be Pro-, not Prop-.
