Default Mite Away Quick Strips and robbing?

Getting ready to" MAQ" my hives soon. According to the directions, Entrances need to be fully opened during the entire 7 day treatment. Will doing so cause a robbing situation of my honey crop? The honey isn't yet capped, so I can't take the honey before starting the treatment. This is my first crop and I'm not quite sure how to proceed.....I'd hate to lose it to robbers!

Not enough ventilation + high temperatures can mean brood or queen loss.

If your colonies are strong enough for MAQS they will not be robbed. Here's another thought, pull your honey and treat at the same time.

Hi, my solution to this concern when using MAQS is to put a strip of #8 mesh across the entrance slot with a hole cut in the middle of it a couple of inches wide, where the bees can get in.
