Once our honey bees gave up on our Salvia, we've had lots of bumble bees on it. Most of them are two-spotted bumblebees, Bombus bimaculatus, but today a newcomer appeared. I have not seen this bee before, any ideas?
There were two of these I saw, yellow all around and quite fuzzy. Size-wise perhaps a little bigger than a honey bee. You can see the thin black stripes here, but for the most part this appears to be an all-yellow bee. Most bumblebees seem to have a black abdomen so I couldn't quite match this with any of the Bombus options I could find.
Appreciate the help,
Erik
