Beeghost..........my handle on a popular archery site I used to go to was Forestghost, so I thought Beeghost would be cool. Nothing special.
Coyote Creek Bees
Mine is the name of my apiary, "Dad & Son's Bees". If I had known that my son wouldn't have anymore interest in it than he does I would have come up with, "Dad's Bees" or maybe "Only the Lonely"![]()

Cos when I joined Beesource was about the time the realisation set in I was no longer young.
Didn't know the name had connotations till it was too late, a certain breed of brand new beekeepers with brand new ideas (they thought) immediately saw me as an old codger set in the past and unable to change or comprehend anything new, and I took some flack based purely on my user name. Would have chosen a different one had I known about that.
Things have progressed though people seem more accepting of each others views now.

Just a name I thought up across alot of message boards, made it easy to remember .
My name is Beverly and over the years I had a few friends call me Bevy. So, got bees, then thought it would be a good name with a bit of a play on the word "bevy" with honeybees. It's the name I use on my labels.
Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. Prvb 16:24
March 2010; +/- 50 hives, TF
It's just my actual name, actually.
If I'd put any real thought into it I would probably have gone with something more creative, but at least I'll never be accused of hiding behind an internet pseudo-identity![]()
Stumbling through my first year with bees. https://peacethymebees.wordpress.com
When joining another forum all other names I tried were taken... That and I am a mom of three children and it seems like my identity became their mom when they were bornSo in several forums if you see Mommyofthree you know it is me

Dubhe, Arabic for "back of the great bear," is a star in the constellation Ursa Major. As a patrol cop for 28 years (ok, patrol sergeant), we are regarded as the backbone of the department. Or was that the backside?
I came terms with the nerdy part of my nature long ago. Rio de Lobo was my screen name back in my gamer days. I have just kept using it for Internet purposes.
"...fascists divide themselves into two categories: fascists and antifascists" Ennio Flaiano
the "gf" part means Grant Finch and I started when I was 13.
So, you then have- GrantFinchbees13
Also, I liked the rhyme of "bees" and "13".![]()
Keep you hive tool sharp, your smoker lit, and your veil tight ... It's Bee Time!
Mine comes from a call sign used in Iraq with the fireteams of my squad.
Over the radio example:
"Scorpion-One, Scorpion-One, Scorpion-One...Calling Scorpion-One.
This is Scorpion-Main."
...and so down the line with Scorpion-Two, -Three, -Four, and etc.
Considering the queen can stick around for a few years I thought I'd name her, but it feels awkward using it. It means sweetness in Japanese.
I can't think of any idea aside from buzz source.
Our place has lots of clover and sits in a dale with the mountain behind us.

Like others have said . . . using my real name keeps me from posting before thinking. Plus with a last name like "Strange" . . .
