Default Post your beekeeping Facebook page

If you have a Facebook page for your apiary/farm, post a link to it here so we can 'like' it. I currently have Lauri's and Ian's.

I like having a Facebook page because:

    1. It's free.
    2. If you make it public, anyone can view it without needing an account.
    3. It's easy to manage and post pictures/videos.

I 'like' other beekeeping pages through my own beekeeping page so it keeps it separate from my personal profile. Anyway, its easier for me to update what I'm doing in my apiary on my Facebook page than it is to make a new post here every time. See signature for mine.

Facebook is a great way to get the information out to the general public. And I also keep my personal profile separate from the bees' page.

Sounds like a plan. Good luck with the bee addiction.

    www.facebook.com/Apis.rustica

Almost all posts are in French, but a lot are pictures where the words matter little, and most of the time I use the latin names for the plants.

I use my facebook page to reach out to the beekeeping community, by posting relevant events and news items, but I find it also pretty darn useful for myself. I upload pictures whenever important blooms start or end, so I can easily look back at the archives to remember what were the dates for any particular species I've seen my bees working.

Most web browsers have a translation tool, while not perfect, it helps you get the general point that's being talked about.

Actually, now that you mention it, I think Facebook has an integrated translation service.

I do plan on translating my website myself, though. It's on the endless winter to-do list.

Ok..... help a guy understand the benefits of a facebook page for beekeeping. What does everyone use them for? Sounds like I may need to get with the times! Thanks

A Facebook page is a Facebook page, I don't really see much esthetic differences between any of them.

Point well taken. I should have said that everyone's photos look nice and their posts are informative and generally just really neat.

Why so critical? I would expect that from Acebird but I thought the French were a gentler folk.

Didn't intend to be rude, just looked like you were beating yourself over nothing. Your pictures looked fine to me.
