Default Cut out from a spinkler junction box

Just cut out a beehive that was in a sprinkler system junction box. The top layer of comb in the pic is just half of it- the rest is attached to the PVC pipe in the lower half of the box. This is pure desert mesquite/catclaw honey.20130520_123606.jpg

That looks like a mess. Where you able to salvage any comb?

I was able to rubber band about 5 deep frames of brood and 2 medium, and got about a half a gallon of honey out of it. I made up a nuc from the deep frames and put the mediums in my other hives to help draw the bees up into the supers.
