    Default Looking for Carnolian queen

I am looking to order two carnolian queen bees to do my splits with. I am getting new equipment ordered this weekend and would like to have a little different selection of bees for my yard. If someone knows a really good supplier that they have dealt with for queens, even would like to get a couple Russians too. Thanks.

Gonna be difficult, there is no such thing as Carnolian. I think you meant Carniolan. You should probably do a search for "New World Carniolan", you should have good success finding those.

Full Bloom Apiaries has good Carni's starting around June 1. I got a batch from them and they are great honey producers. I am not sure about the small winter cluster being good down here though cause I had problems with SHB's due to the extremely warm winter we had. They build up super fast so you will have to watch out for swarming. They wont build up during a dearth at all though.

I've got mated New World Carniolan queens ready to ship now. They've been laying long enough to have sealed brood. I also have Pol-Line Hygenic Italians that have just started laying.

I've had great luck with Strachan Apiaries for NWC... Great service and great queens.

Concur, this outfit fell on hard times due to illness and I kind of think it is just a poorly managed reselling outfit now.

Tim at Honey Run Apiaries in Delphos, Ohio. Excellent quality queens. I have purchased from him the last two years.

I received my carnoilan bees from canoemaker yesterday morning. I must say they look very health and busy. I opened the box at the PO and spent about twenty minutes showing them the queen and explaining the different type of bees there are. Tim in my book is an exceptional man and I would not hesitate to order more queens from him. Thanks again. Anyone looking for any carnoilan queens or his Itailans, I would suggest doing so. He even marked the queen and I didn't even ask. You are an A++ in my book.

Well just giving the update of my two queens I got from Tim. They are doing great and thriving down here in south Alabama. One is going to go its it new eight frame house in about a week or two and the other in about three. I was trying not to feed much so that put them a little behind. Now I am giving them their bee tea which has put them in high gear. I showed my wife the difference between the two breeds and she was amazed how much different they where. Next year I will be slitting them and the itialians first chance I get so I can make as many hives as possible. I am also going for two Russians and two buckfast. Thaknks again Tim.
