    Default Unknown pest?

I found this on the outside of my hive over the summer. I apologize I did not get a chance to post about it sooner, but was curious if this is anything related to bees or if it was just trying to find a safe location to build it's nest. I have a Warre hive and I saw it as soon as I pulled the roof off. It was on the side of the quilt box. As you can see from the photo, it started using the burlap to build it's nest/cocoon. Is it anything I should be concerned about? It's about 1 inch long.

Thanks so much for your help!

It's a Chrysalis for either a butterfly or a month, I've listed a link below.

I was hoping it wasn't a pest. Better to be safe than sorry, so thought I'd ask.

    Thanks for the reassurance!
