You will have to order it online most likely. Oxalic acid is not an approved treatment for use in a hive in the US, so you are unlikely to find a Vaporizer anywhere.
I have seen a few opinions about the Heilyser as being somewhat flimsy. I'm only treating a few hives so that may be not an issue. I must say I prefer the simplicity of the Varrox, but does anyone have an opinion about Heilyser vs. Varrox? The Heilyser is certainly more affordable.
Just build one with the propane torch you need to heat the crystals anyway. Sweat soldering is all that is required and it is so simple I can do it. Take a picture of one to ace hardware or equivalent and ask the nice man or lady for the materials.
I've owned the Heilyser and the Varrox and they will both get the job done. The Varrox, which I own now, is a much sturdier evaporator. It's similar to comparing a Blazer to a Hummer, they will both get you from point A to point B but one is going to hold up better and last longer.
You can order a Varrox from Canada. Call Bio-Solution @ 819-826-2160
I got mine in 2010 and it was $135 + $15 shipping
Also the Varrox is 3/8" tall and the Heilyser is 7/16" tall. My hives have 3/8" entrances and bee space below frames.
