    Default too early

    hi i have a brood and a half that has plenty of room but the queen is well active, ive put a super on top as the rape is nearing full bloom, can i be too early or will they sort the extra space out regards bill

    They will figure it out, and bee ready for another
    super! Canola/Rape can get you some honey fast,
    but it sugars very quickly...

    No, It's not too early. Worse case is that they back fill the boxes before working the super. There's no harm in that. As Sundance says, canola produces heavly and a strong hive can really fill boxes fast!
