    Default Corn Syrup Cocktail

Ok. I met a local plant manager that haul trucks of corn syrup, HFCS and inverted sugar. Super nice guy, he said he could get me a 55 gallon drum of mixed corn sugar HFCS and inverted sugar. Apparently when the trucks come back they have syrup that settles in the trucks and they empty it out into drums. Sometimes they dilute with water and send it out to the city waste water. Does any one see a problem with using this mix to feed? (not the dilluted stuff) any recommendations. Also what is the market value? He didnt say he would charge but i would definetely like to make it worth his while.

I know a few beeks that do use that mix, but I myself avoid any HFCS in feed for the girls. As far as I know, Fructose is not the kind of sugar the bees go after, they prefer the sucrose variety.

Invert liquid is the cadillac. The hfcs won't hurt. This is the best way to get a real deal on syrup. Get containers for him so he can save it up.

Does this syrup need to be dilluted before feeding?

Thanks Tom and Ray. Whoo Hoo no more 25lb bags of sugar from the super store!! Although a 600lb drum will be interesting.

You're sitting on a bee food goldmine! If you can agree on a reasonable price for him to dispose of his waste (to him) syrup & you can collect it, every party leaves happy.
