    Default Beesource items for sale

I've met with my local shirt guy who does heat transfers and embroidery. We messed around today embroidering the logo on shirt material and finally got it right. Also had a cap embroidered that turned out really nice. I'll be getting him the artwork to have the transfer template made for doing T-shirts.

The logo is done and I've got a good local supplier to work with for these items. I plan to start out simple and basic and see how it goes from there. I also am going to favor quality products over the cheap stuff.

For what it's worth, this poll only lets you choose one item at a time.

I think I would also buy the cap, as well. FWIW, I think you should eventually offer apparel with bee-related comments (funny or otherwise) printed on them. These could have the Beesource logo on them also, or not.

ah, ratz! I was hoping for the logo at the top of this page with the B made into a bee. At least some kind of bee.

I'd take a shirt and a sweat anyway.

    I like the hat.

and for the record, I think you should be able to make multiple choices in the poll.

Ditto for me. Why can't you develop the merchandise with a logo which at least includes a bee?

Suggestion: If you do caps, you might consider caps in different colors, and a cap which can be at least spot and hand washed - beeks are always around messy, sticky stuff. Toppers classic 2404 is a nice style - 100% cotton, not one of those brushed blends, and has a nice metal loop adjuster in the back (non-plastic!). Okay, I'm picky about hats... I like them so comfortable you forget you have them on.

Also, for this time of year and in spring, hoodies are nice. Gildan has some good quality, heavy weight cotton blend (80/20) with pouches in front, or zipped. Perfect for days when winter coats are not needed, but too cold for T's.

    Ditto.

I'd probably start with the polo shirt. (Got plenty of hats already).

I did. Several in fact. What works on one medium doesn't always work on another. The trend today in logo design is "keep it simple." If you look at the top rated 200 logos, most use no graphics and simply create a unique style with text only. Color, font style and size is all that's used. I had to change the logo once we tried to get another style to reproduce well using embroidering. You can only get so much detail doing this. The bee logo I used for the forums would never make it. I moved away from a bee image cause it is very difficult to get it to look like a honeybee without it looking cartoonish, which I don't want.

All colors are available, but I am going to work with the merchandise my local guy uses to start with. I'm not going to start warehousing stuff or start using online companies that I have no control over.

Also, for this time of year and in spring, hoodies are nice. Gildan has some good quality, heavy weight cotton blend (80/20) with pouches in front, or zipped.
    I can get these also.

The embroidered products I can do piecemeal but the transfers require initial setup costs and an order of 25 minimum.

OK, I realize it's your baby, but. Many of us don't mind cartoonish bees, look at Barry Bee.

Now there is a thought, if Barkman can do a deal with the Bee Movie for the 2 oz honey, why couldn't BS do a deal too? There could be something there for BS operating funds.

I'd go for the cap. I'd like something with the logo and then maybe "www.beesource.com" on the back velcro area.

Personally I like the cartoonish bees. I think the ones that look more realistic don't look good in logos. Maybe you could poll us all and see what the general consensus is.

Barry, can you post a picture of what the logo would look like.

    Here's a hat/shirt/mug idea:

"How Can 5,000 Beekeepers All Be Wrong?
    Beesource.com"
    Or, the even better version:

"How can 5,000 Beekeepers All Be Wrong?
    Beesource.com, that's how!

    Tee hee!
