    I have my mating nucs at least a 1/4 mile away from any big hives and I don't have robbing issues. In the same yard it was death to the nucs. Only had 12 to mate had 9 return.

    Pretty simple take the bottom off give it a rap to drop the bees on top of the frames replace the insert reassemble the hive. Done

    The point of having the screened BB is so you can take a look at what falls out of the hive. If you take out the inspection tray and let the stuff fall on the ground how can you inspect Screened...

    When I graft I can hardly see the larva so it's not even close to being a 2 day old larva it's more like 12 hours old . I go by the if you can see it it's to old.

    If they have some other place to put it yes they move the nectar out seen it a few times. Of course if the queen doesn't return from the mating flight they will keep filling it with honey. Back...

    Just let the bees do their work when the new queen is ready they will make space. It's funny how the bees know what they are doing.
