    above the recommended temps, but I only do one pad, and I have 3 deep's, with plenty of ventilation

    have used formic since mite away II came out, who knows how long ago, and used maqs, and now use pro's, always killed mites, never killed a queen, and I typically use it in the heat of July.

    go to randy olivers web site and use his mite calculator, ignore that you treated and see what your mite count would be with out treating, I'n my opinion the one strip method doesn't kill the mites...

    my buddy has the easiest and fastest method, he walks up behind the first hive while instructing you to stand in front of it, then he kick's it, no reaction, on to the second hive, same sequence,...

    I read some where that Canada found some one to produce it again. as to beeing effective ?, Medhat Nassa is the person in canada that say's it makes a difference to the survival up there.

    I have only ever used it when a honey flow was on, and never had a problem with robbing and I always use the one pad followed by one pad 10 days later. if the splits you are talking about are 3 high...

    formic has been killing the grass in front of the hives since the first release of mite a way II's, it's normal and expected.

    have you looked at the proposed law? I have no problem following laws, but you sell nucs in NY, the new law says they will inspect your hives and if you have to many of things they don't like then...

    no clue on how he determined it, I would expect he did a mite count, treated with amatraz, and did another mite count.
