    Re: Oxalic Dribble Method

If I remeber I plug the vaporizer into the cord and then start the timer, it normally takes 2 minutes to reach operating temperature. The problem about making a video all on your own is that I had...

    Re: Oxalic Dribble Method

The actual sublimation takes around 30 seconds and I push more than 2 grams per treatment, the trick here is to keep the bowl clean and I do that with a small stainless brush that I wipe out the...

    Re: Oxalic Dribble Method

Now lets see, I have 20 colonies at least 3 mediums high and I can treat all of them with oxalic acid vapor in less than 20 minutes, with your timing on dribble how long do you think you will take.

    Re: oa dribble freqency

I find the chart with colony strengths 4 months after treatment rather interesting and also the time taken for treatments as the OAV was done with a varrox and the time could be cut at least by a...

    Re: Varroa 12%

GregV, where do you think those mites will end up when the hive starts collapsing, at best in the ops other hives or at worst in some unsuspecting beekeepers hives down the road somewhere.

Re: Johno's Easy Vap - Vaporizer

    Re: Band heater vaporizer.

Msl, I have no idea how the research on the OA dosage was carried out, or whether this would be effected in any way by actual field conditions and hive setups. I have always felt that the efficacy...

    Re: Band heater vaporizer.

Alfred this is not a consensus, it is a visible fact. You can see the temperature on the temperature controller drop to as low as 290 F from 450 F as soon as the OA hits the bottom of a clean hot...

    Re: Power For A Vaporizer

Mgolden, you can probably get 3 Easy Vaps for $700 and if you do not use a mask with a varrox you will definitely not need a mask for the Easy Vap and you will treat each hive in less than a minute.
