    Re: Massachusetts

Swarm caught in a bait hive last Saturday (5/27). ~3 lbs. It was <100' from my hives but wasn't one of mine because my marked queens are still present and accounted for. I put in a frame of open...

Re: Can anyone ID this bee?

My guess would be a Carpenter bee. The ones around here have that little black bald patch among the yellow hairs of the thorax just like the one in your photo.

Re: Wood pellets for smoker fuel

Do NOT use chicken feed pellets...Bees don't like it. I accidentally found out last summer when I mistook them for wood pellets.

Re: 3D Printable Mating Nuc, alpha version

Yea, before I tried printing the frame the other day I flipped it up 90 degrees so it could fit on my tiny print bed (155X150mm). After it printed, I snapped the side pieces while playing with the...

Re: 3D Printable Mating Nuc, alpha version

I saw your post and did a test print of one of your frames....and as a result, I've been headed deeper and deeper down the rabbit hole of 3D printing the last two days. I'm ordering an inductive...

    Re: Oxalic Acid Vaporizer issue...VIDEO

Your post said that it was PTC driven. Is there any sort of adjustment on your vaporizer to raise the temperature that it holds the pan at? It looks like the point where the temperature is being...

Re: Just Another LL Langstroth Post

Re: Fathers Day gift to myself

I bought this too due to another recent post on BeeSource! Haven't had a lot of time with it but did want to note that the staple gun it comes with doesn't take your typical 1/4" crown staple. It...

Re: My recipe/method for sugar blocks

Lauri, I apologize if I just missed it in the previous posts somewhere...I was wondering what ever happened to that nuc you had with no stores and just sugar blocks for the winter?

    Thanks!

    Re: Best robber screen designs?

I was thinking of a way to simplify the robber screen for nucs and hope that this is a relevant thread to ask if my idea in the following steps would work:
    1) Dado or route a 3/8" deep, 1" wide...
