    2 teaspoons in a gallon of water will treat about 30 deeps or 45 mediums per quart. 2 teaspoons weigh 0.16 ounce so 11,500 deeps...

    The more open a hive is does not necessarily make it cooler. When I started out I had very open screened inner covers, along with a lot of ventilation under the cover. The bees would constantly close...

    For me the forehead is one of the worst place to get stung. Usually it involves much swelling with swelling around the eye. People look at you funny and you need to explain why you look like that....

    It is the larva that drop into the soil to pupate. The eggs are deposited inside the hive. I've not read about different soil types except for the fact that they can do some traveling to find soil...
