    I split two a couple weeks ago. Both were large hives making drone brood. It will depend on drones in your area.

    Yes one did better. The one I left. I had two different brood nest though, one on each side of the excluder. When theyíre both in the same box I let them work it out. Iím checking a double queen hive...
