    9-1/2" is correct for 9-1/8" frames (3/8" beespace). Had you made them 9-5/8" you would have 1/2" space between the top and bottom bars and the bees would fill it full of comb. If you meant 6-5/8"...

    I ordered 100 deep perma-dent deep and 150 medium. I got the deep and the medium shows back ordered. Paid with credit card.

    They don't "mistakenly" cap drone brood; they do it from desperation. I just took apart a laying worker hive that had a couple good looking queen cells that had nothing in them. Very pathetic. Shake...

    Basswood opening this morning 14131. The tree in my yard is loaded with blossoms compared to none last year.
    This afternoon, after morning showers, the tree is full of bees. Life is good!:)

    OK, I found another box of 4-1/8" thin surplus from Dadant and it is beautiful, just like the Brushy Mt., deeply embossed and nice and flat.
    The 3-7/8" I got from them didn't seem as deeply embossed...
